Capturing Love in Las Vegas

Elopement photography in Las Vegas is a vibrant blend of love, excitement, and stunning backdrops. We spoke with this issue’s cover photographer, Sierra Gulde, who has turned this passion into a thriving business, bringing joy to couples from around the world.

From Hobby to Career
This up-and-coming photographer’s journey began in high school, leading to further studies at art school in Las Vegas. In 2021, she officially started her photography business and recently focused on elopements. “The love and passion I’ve witnessed working with couples bring me so much joy,” she shares.

Weather Woes
Preparing for the unpredictable Las Vegas weather can be tricky. However, most clients are ready for anything, turning the unknown into a memorable part of their elopement. She keeps a cute umbrella handy for unexpected rain or snow, adding both practicality and charm to the photos.

Editing and Delivery
Couples can expect sneak peeks within 48 hours and full galleries typically within 4-6 weeks, depending on the coverage. She hand-edits each photo to ensure high quality and personal touch.

A Unique Style
Describing her style as “vibrant yet true to color,” she combines boldness with softness, creating a clean vintage look. This approach
perfectly suits the eclectic and lively Las Vegas elopement scene.

Iconic Locations
Choosing a favorite location is tough with so many stunning spots in Las Vegas. She loves downtown areas like Sure Thing Chapel and
Fremont under the lights at night, as well as natural settings like Red Rock, Mt. Charleston, and Jean Dry
Lake Beds. Each location offers a unique beauty that embodies the essence of Vegas.

Personalized Experiences
Personalization is key to her work. Sierra takes time to know each couple, ensuring their photos reflect their unique personalities and love stories. “Not every couple is the same, so it is only fair to give them all the experience they want and deserve,” she says.

Overcoming Challenges
Las Vegas is always bustling, which can be challenging, especially on the Strip. However, she finds the vibrancy fun and engaging. The welcoming community in Vegas also adds to the positive experience of shooting elopements here.

Memorable Moments
One of her most memorable shoots involved a couple she photographed for both their engagement and wedding. “I got treated like family, and it shows me how blessed I am to do what I do for a living,” she reflects.

Advice for Couples
Sierra’s top advice for couples considering an elopement in Las Vegas is to start planning early and choose vendors whose style they love. “Above all, this is YOUR day, do what YOU want and how YOU want to do it,” she emphasizes. Elopement photography in Las Vegas is more than capturing moments; it’s about creating lifelong memories and celebrating love in one of
the most vibrant cities in the world.
