Real Vegas Wedding: Ellie and Max

A Desert Dream in Las Vegas

When asked why they chose Las Vegas for their destination elopement, this couple’s answer was unexpected: “Originally, it was a joke,” the bride laughs. “We were tossing around destination ideas, and someone mentioned Vegas. At first, we thought of the stereotypical Elvis impersonators and drive-through chapels—not exactly what we had in mind for our wedding.”

However, as they dug deeper into what Las Vegas truly had to offer, the idea grew more appealing. “The desert landscape was a complete contrast to our home in the Pacific Northwest. I had never been to the desert and was intrigued by the natural beauty and culture of Nevada.”

They soon discovered Nelson’s Ghost Town, a picturesque location blending old-school Americana with vintage glam—perfect for their wedding vision. “We both fell in love with Las Vegas during our trip and can’t wait to return.”

Their advice for couples considering a Vegas elopement? “Do it!” the bride insists. “Clark County has made the marriage license process super quick and easy, and you can even request one online. The city offers endless venue options, from quirky to elegant, with wonderful people who make the experience stress-free. Plus, Vegas is built on hospitality, so travel, dining, and activities are all within reach.”

Her final tip? “Join social media groups about Vegas weddings. They’re full of recommendations from vendors and other couples—and that’s how we found Tracy Shelor Artistry!”
